Why you should choose fake tans

brown skinWe all know now that sun exposure is harmful for the skin unless we wear a very powerful sunscreen. Tanned skin is nevertheless fashionable, but we can only enjoy it if we use some form of fake spray tan or another cosmetic product for body treatment. Such skin coloring solutions are indeed smart, innovative and very profitable for those who run a business in the cosmetic industry. The browning of the skin will result from a chemical reaction at the skin level, that cannot be properly defined as pigmentation. The color wears off in six or eight days, with the possibility to extend the tan to ten days if a post tanning treatment is used.

A good fake spray tan will create an even skin look that resembles the natural tan glow. As it happens with all the market sectors, there are also doutbful items sold for very low prices. We may call them tan sprays but they could be low quality and a risk for one’s health. If they are not carefully chosen, such products may cause skin dryness, allergies, irritation and a skin disease called contact dermatitis.

Although generally safe, a fake spray tan solution could be a bad choice under certain circumstances. For instance, sunless tanners are not recommended to people with sensitive dry skin. The dryness of the skin could get aggravated even if there is no allergic reaction. Normally, the tanning agents are also combined with moisturizers, but they do not prove enough for the dry skin needs. Moreover, anyone who suffers from skin dryness knows how hard it is to choose a good moisturizer, which is why the choice of a fake spray tan will be all the more difficult.

If you apply fake spray tan regularly, it is best to undergo the treatment at a beauty parlor rather than at home. Even if the tanning agents are considered to be completely non-toxic and risk free, you should make pauses between consecutive applications. This is the best way to make sure that you preserve good skin health and enjoy a good look!
